I cook pretty much every day. I genuinely enjoy it. Part of how I show people I care is by preparing them good food.
However, I do not make everything from scratch. Why? Because I don't fuckin' want to.
Food influencers have given people even more food issues by making anything premade or packaged to basically be poison. In reality, they are just ignorant clowns most of the time. Sure, it's impressive to say you make everything from scratch-

If making food is your goddam job.
Mine isn't. You ever watch a video of someone making tonkotsu ramen with their own blood, sweat, and tears? Ramen shops that make everything in house from base ingredients from scratch dedicate their whole lives to the process. Why the fuck would I pull my own noodles when I can skip down to an Asian market and buy some fresh noodles?
I hate it when someone sticks their snotty nose up at a meal if the meal used jarred pasta sauce or pre-shredded cheese. People are just doing their best. Cook from as much scratch as you got time and money for.
