GameStop has its issues, and changing technologies and consumer habits have rendered it obsolete. Sooner or later, they will go out of business, and no one will be surprised.
However, I guarantee, 5-10 years after they go out of business, people will discuss it the way they discuss Blockbuster. All the issues will be forgotten, and we'll all be left fondly remembering the midnight launches, the post-Christmas trips, etc.
