Yeah, anywhere, which even includes inside your home. Imagine your hands went where your feet go and you don't wash them. Just wear slides or slippers or flip-flops or something.
What also grinds my gears about this is the "god forbid outside clothes on the bed" folks that don't consider this. It literally makes no sense!
Exceptions being: beds, couches, showers/baths in your own home. Definitely not if it's communal. Oh, and the beach and other (limited) aquatic based-activities I suppose.
Edit: Oh my god I completely forgot to mention the amount of people that don't even clean them when they bathe/shower 😭😭😭
