Why do you need to say something to me but deny me the ability to prove what you said? If you're going to say something to me then you're trusting me with that information. Making it illegal for me to record just enables you to either lie to me or to tell me the truth while lying to other people. The result is that employers can abuse you and salespeople can deceive you.
