Basically what the title says. The sudden zombie apocalypse story has been done to death, the characters are extremely unlikable except for Ellie, until part 2 at least. I liked her girlfriend though, she was literally the only major character I didn't come out of the games hating. They constantly make idiotic decisions and Joel is a horrible person, I don't understand why people were so surprised when Abby killed him, personally i thought it was completely justified, there's other reasons I don't like her but that was understandable in my book.
I've just played tons of games and watched tons of movies that have stories leagues better than this series, the game has beautiful visuals I'll give it that, but the narrative, characters and messaging are all extremely lackluster.
