Restaurants should expect to prepare food for the entirety of their operating hours.

What I mean by this is that if a restaurant closes at 10 and you go in at 9:30 for takeout, that should be perfectly acceptable. if a restaurant opens at 10 and you come in at 10, that should be perfectly acceptable. People working at restaurants should expect to work before opening time to prepare to open and after closing to actually close out and the owners should expect to pay for it.
