I don't understand this obsession with video podcasts? Now they're on Netflix. Who is watching this? I tried. I even tried a new podcast I'd never heard and a favorite podcast of mine.
I listen to ALOT of podcasts, so this isn't about not liking podcasts. It's I genuinely don't understand the appeal of video podcasts being on Netflix. It defeats the whole purpose of podcasting. It's something to LISTEN to.
It especially helps being verbal only when its an intimate interview, so they dont need to worry about a camera in their face.Which inevitably will cause someone to act differently. It's just circled back around into talk shows. There are a lot of sports podcasts on Netflix, too. So, it's not even a podcast at that point. It's no different than segments on ESPN.
They are even worse when its a bunch of people talking over Zoom, and they're not even in person either. Yes, let's watch floating heads in boxes on our screens...
Podcasts on Netflix are dumb as hell.
