The majority of online hot takes are things that are only controversial if you’re chronically online. Most normal people either agree or don’t care and move on with their day. It ends up feeling like the internet is built around opinions that sound edgy online where everyone feels compelled to constantly engage in virtue signaling, but are completely average if you have a job and talk to people in the real world.

People will argue about the sky being blue and the grass being green if you give them a platform for it. The world needs less people wanting to “play devil’s advocate” for their own entertainment.
