My view is basically people have no moral obligation of self-sacrifice under any situation bar none. The most extreme example being that if you had to choose either you die or every single other person alive dies, it is not morally wrong to choose everyone else dying. Self sacrifice can certainly be noble and a good ethical act, but choosing to not sacrifice yourself is never an immoral act.
