[CLOSED] It's been almost 19 years since the first iPhone was released, 19 years of constant teaching, learning and adapting to this technology, yet some old people are still absolutely horrible with it, to the point where they can't do basic tasks like downloading an app, deleting their notifications, opening a mail, and so on and so forth. It's beyond irritating, because old people usually have the most expensive phones too, yet they barely know how to use it. I always help my grandma with her phone, but it genuinely baffles me how she doesn't know how to do anything after more than 10 years of owning smartphones. This one might be more related to how old people act in general than how they operate technology, but it's also so so irritating when they DON'T read what's on their phone and they think it's broken or stuff like that, genuinely, how hard is it to read. I know old people have a harder time learning stuff, but dude, it's been over a decade.
Edit: why isn't anybody talking about the not reading part lol
Second edit: I don't hate old people and much less my grandmother. Just because they don't know how to use their phones, doesn't mean I like them any less, it all depends on how they are as a person lol
Third and last edit: I've received a bunch of interesting comments, some agreeing with me, some disagreeing and providing valid arguments, some saying that these problems are just as noticeable with younger people too and some just not saying anything valuable. I want to thank everybody that took time to comment on this post, no matter what they had to say, I still appreciate the engagement. Before I end this, I want to say that, no matter how good or bad some people of x age are at y things, it doesn't really matter and you shouldn't dislike them for it, even though it can be frustrating, you should choose to like them or dislike them based on how they act and how they are as a person, not just based on their skill in a certain field. Once again, thank you and I won't be replying to further comments.
