OFF - Bieannále Budapest - 2025 - Poems of Unrest In 2025, the OFF-Biennale Budapest celebrated its tenth anniversary, with the 5th jubilee edition focusing on the concept of security. As multiple crises intensify and converge - fueled by far-right political agendas, wars, the cost-of-living and housing crises, and the anthropogenic climate crisis - we find ourselves on shifting ground, grappling with persistent feelings of unrest and anxiety. The annual identity ties these themes together through abstract symbolism, expressed in 3D objects, activist-esque "demonstration board" typography, and a bold colour palette inspired by the visual language of alarm and safety signage. The design system spans both physical and digital environments, from city lights across the ucity and exhibition design assets to an expressive yet informative website, supported by media templates for all participants.
