Nobody forced you to take a job that depends on tips. You chose it. You knew going in that tips are optional and that some people tip well, some tip badly, and some do not tip at all. That is how those jobs have worked for a long time.
What makes no sense is when people act shocked every single time it happens. You see it constantly online. Someone doesn’t tip enough and suddenly there’s a full meltdown about how that person should be banned from restaurants or never order delivery again. If a stranger not handing you bonus money ruins your whole day then maybe the problem is not the stranger. acting like it is some mandatory sacred debt every person owes you is entitled nonsense.
No one made you pick that job. No one promised every customer would subsidize your paycheck. People who demand tips like they’re owed something are giant babies.
