Motivation is treated like the main driver of success, but it’s one of the least reliable tools people depend on. It comes and goes based on mood, energy, and circumstances, which means if you rely on it, your progress becomes inconsistent.
What actually makes a difference is discipline and systems—doing things even when you don’t feel like it. Most people wait to feel motivated before starting, when in reality, action often creates motivation, not the other way around.
I think a lot of advice online overhypes motivation because it sounds inspiring, but it sets people up to fail when that feeling inevitably disappears.
