Most people don’t miss you, they miss access to you

When you stop being available replying quickly, showing up, giving your time suddenly people start reaching out saying they “miss you.” But what they often miss isn’t you as a person, it’s the role you played in their life. The convenience, the attention, the emotional support. Real connection doesn’t disappear just because access changes… so when it does, that tells you a lot.
