"[thing] is good but the fandom/fans ruined it" is the most utterly ignorant and biased excuse of an opinion that is unfortunately VERY common, because not only it dismises all potential value a TV show, movie, videogame, etc, could possibly have due to a group of people in which not even all of them are bad, but just a small percentaje that ruins all possible respect someone could have towards them, but it also ruins any possibility of recommending this medias to anyone because they will always be like "uhhhh but it's brainrot" "uhhhh but the fandom is full of pervs" "uhhhh but the fans are so weird" and completely ignore any value or entertainment the media could actually have. Schools literally try preventing this with lessons like "Don't judge a book by its cover" but people just feel like forgetting that to their convenience, literally 6 YEAR OLDS have more critical thinking skills than GROWN ASS ADULTS.
The only reason why this isn't considered common sense by most its because we live in a society that isn't based of what possible merit or value something can have but how loved and socially accepted it is, and because people find it easier to judge a media based of a completely unrelated community that doesn't affect it's quality at all because it feels more socially acceptable than actually watching it.
