Playing music on a speaker at the beach is rude. It’s especially rude to do it parked right behind the reserved umbrellas that can’t just pick up and move if they don’t like it. Turning on the radio and then leaving to get in the water will absolutely make me go feral. I’m 100% kicking sand on the blankets of the offenders.
Why is it always stadium country?? I just want to hear the waves and read without hearing jellyroll.
*edit to add: My extended family rents a beach house on a small private beach that’s also a wildlife reserve. A beach equipment company comes and sets up umbrellas and chairs for people staying there if you rent them ahead of time. You’re assigned your umbrella and they request you don’t move them to avoid disturbing the dunes or damaging equipment.
