and that’s ok! but i’m so tired of seeing people complain about how shitty their country is/how much the modern day sucks when they live without roommates. That’s… where your money’s going, that’s what makes your quality of life better, it is super normal to have roommates both historically and in genuinely underprivileged countries.
your own apartment is a massive quality of life difference, i think people tend to think of it as “oh i just can’t take living with roommates”but for a lot of the world, they have the same issues but have to tank it anyway. that’s what privilege is for the most part- not “i have all these advantages”, but “life could be fucking me over in this way but it happens not to be.”
