Now I'll say up-front that something like John Wick or Extraction or The Equalizer and what-have-you is all amazing and very very well made, don't get me wrong, but I really miss more athletic based Gun-Fu you'd see back in the 90s and things pretty often-as in action movies wherein the protagonist rocks two pistols at the same time and dives out of the way of volleys of bullets in slow-motion while blasting his opponents down mid-air, making like Chow Yun Fat and Maximizing their Payne and what-not.
I get that those type of movies were less "Grounded" but, like, frankly I just don't care, they were just way cooler, partially BECAUSE it was so insane to witness and BECAUSE you knew what you were watching wasn't possible-and I get that slow motion's kinda a cliché now, but, like, I also don't care on that front, it was cool, it added impact to hits and let you see every detail of every scene.
TLDR 90s Gun-Fu is cooler than modern Gun-Fu imo
