Some communities around it may have been horrible at times. But dude, I miss creepypastas and specifically the oldest ones with my soul.
Herobrine, Slenderman, Jeff the Killer, Laughing Jack, Guest 666, Sonic.EXE and all of those sorts we're the genuine gem of media history. Telling stories about them like they were ever real and the massive amounts of videos related to them despite being scared as shit about Minecraft's steve with white eyes. And I miss them so much.
I don't think something as good as creepypastas will come back someday, or it will take a lot, probably because i'm no longer a kid and instead of beliving on "notch's dead brother", "a bullied kid who cut off his own face", "a tall man who kidnapped children" or "a Sonic who cried blood" I Will know all of it was Made with Photoshop, Adobe or any sort of video editing software.
Even if back then I couldnt sleep because of it, I miss it now, how one simple image could spark stories and Legends capable of making me shiver, how a anonimate user who casually lurked 4chan made one singular post and now it spiked movies and references inside their own games of origin.
I belive one day we will reach that peak again, even if for a month, and I want it to happen because god I miss talking about herobrine and Sonic.EXE in that way It cannot be replicated or explained with nothing more than a child's stupid beliefs on stories... Even if it's just once.
