 | genuinely at a loss for words right now. met this guy, vibed over text for a week, and we finally went out tonight. everything was actually going fine until he asked what i do for work. I casually mentioned i just got a small promotion, and I swear his entire face dropped. he started making these weird, passive-aggressive comments about how "some girls think they're too good for a traditional man now." like??? bro it's an extra $2 an hour, calm down. ten minutes later, he tells me "order whatever else you want, it's on me," says he has to check a "work emergency" in the bathroom, and literally never comes back. I'm sitting there alone with a $45 tab, go to text him, and realize I'm blocked on EVERYTHING. my bank account sitting at $12 until tuesday. i had to frantically text my roommate to venmo me just so I wouldn't catch a charge for a dine-and-dash. currently sitting on my bedroom floor eating the cold leftovers in the dark. apparently not being in poverty is a dealbreaker now? 🤡 if this is what dating is in 2026, i'm officially retiring. 🥂💀 submitted by /u/Able-Depth-405 to r/GirlDinnerDiaries [link] [comments] |
