Funeral Services Should Always Be Closed Casket

To clarify, I am not saying families cannot have a wake or a viewing if that is what they want. I just think that if this is the case, then it should be a seperate and optional ceremony or part of the ceremony and there should be a service or part of the service where no body is visible. I understand that for some people it helps them grieve to see the dead body, but for other people, it is disturbing and traumatizing. People should not be forced to see a dead body if they don't want to, but sometimes, the only way to grieve and honor a loved one is attend an event where you are forced look at their dead body. Why shouldn't viewing the dead body be entirely optional for funeral guests?
