First of all, it’s asinine that they would board first anyway. It’s extremely inefficient to board front to back and it only extends the time it takes to get everyone seated.
Secondly, those people also often have access to the Club spaces where waiting is less of a pain in the ass. A few extra minutes in there isn’t going to hurt them. And for even the odd person splashing out for a FC ticket can easily be given this perk as well.
I understand the allure of the PDB, but I bet we could cut airplane boarding by half loading back to front.
