I can't even understand how anyone likes them.
If they were only thing available back in the day, I get it, they were better than a rock or a pile of sticks. But modern foam pillows are superior in every way.
Feather pillows are fluffy - until you actually lay your head down. Then they quickly compress into a practically rock hard solid mass with no forgiveness. You wake up with jaw pain and neck pain and your ear folded in half.
Waking up every 15 minutes to refluff the pillow and never actually sleeping sounds like a medieval torture.
Foam pillows can be purchased soft, medium or firm. They offer thicker or thinner styles. They maintain their shape and support all night.
I've slept on luxurious, expensive down pillows, and they still suck. I feel like feather pillow fans are either trying to prank everyone or they have convinced themselves pain and sleep deprivation is good and builds character.
