I don’t really believe anyone is ugly, in terms of physical appearance.
Some people fit current beauty standards, some don’t but that’s not the same thing. Standards are just patterns we collectively agree on for a while. They shift, they evolve and they contradict themselves all the time.
If you took only the people we currently label as “beautiful” and made them the entire population, it wouldn’t suddenly become a world without “ugly.” People would still sort each other into categories and find features to pick apart.
So my point is the human brain functions on contrast. It defines things by comparison. So a lot of what we call “ugly” is less about reality and more about how our minds organize it.
What actually feels ugly to me isn’t physical at all…it’s things like warped morals, rigid thinking, shallow judgments, or the kind of mindset that leads to utter cruelty and chaos. Standards are temporary but the way someone thinks and treats others, that is what defines them.
