Dogs/ or pets should not be allowed at kids parks

I have 3 little boys under the age of 6, so we go to the park alot especially because we live in an an apartment at the moment. The weather has been warming up and it seems like every other time we go to the park there someone with their damn dog in the playground area. One of my kids is terrified of dogs and the other loves them and my last couldnt care less. The dogs usually are bigger than them so if they get close they jump/ lick them. Owners usually say the dogs are friendly but no matter, one kid is scared and the other wont leave them alone. I cannot trust people to handle their dogs as needed. Go to a dog park or even walk the trails but why are you at the playground even if you have kids be mindful of others. There was even one park someone brought a pet monkey! (It was leased but still). Pets/ dogs do not belong at the playground.
