They've only finished in the top four once in the past four years, and while this season isn't over, it's probably gonna be the second time in that frame that they get no European football. Their strategy at the moment appears to be "sign a million youngsters and hope they become world-class", which just isn't working-they've bought dozens of flops, each one costing more than the last. I think that eventually, the lack of the Champions League will mean that they don't make nearly as much money as they spend and end up in a Wolves-style crisis.
