Bilbao Bizkaia Design Week 2025 explored the theme "Biotik Design: from emergency to regeneration." The challenge lay in translating this concept into a visual identity that was both accessible and compelling?able to signal urgency without resorting to alarmism, while mobilizing Bilbao's creative community and its wider ecosystem. We created a visual system that merges universal emergency codes with organic structures inspired by natural networks such as mycelium. Symbols of alert intertwine with living matter, forming a graphic language that feels immediate and urgent, yet inherently optimistic. The identity doesn't just warn?it points forward. A vibrant, high-impact color palette amplifies this tension, reinforcing the notion of urgency while ensuring strong recognition and visual memorability.
