The 1999 film "American Beauty" was not that good. There was that one part with the guy filming the plastic bag and that was kinda funny. Whenever I see a plastic bag floating around I say to my s.o. "isn't that the most beautiful thing you ever seen?" And we both get a little chuckle out of it but other than that, the movie was forgettable and kinda sucked overall. I watched it for the first time like a year ago and honestly I probably could have gone my whole life without watching it.
I remember my first thought after watching it being "that was.. stupid." Anyways, yeah thats just my unpopular opinion on a classic movie that everyone swears is so good. It was never that good. It is actually bad. Id give it like 1/10 stars for having a kinda funny meme moment but thats literally the only good thing about it.
Edit: lots of differing opinions here, some of you feel very strongly about this movie which is fine lol, kinda cringe though lol
