Many people say: "no people are just toxic online, IRL people don't behave like that". Well sure IRL they don't behave like that due to the fear of social consequences - that doesn't mean they have better characters.
Neither do I think it's necessarily different groups of people with internet usage being so ubiquitous now. I think people are just acting nicer IRL and the way people act online reflects their true character and personality.
