Technically, the first day of summer this year will be June 21, but as far as we’re concerned, the summer movie season starts on May 1. With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of all the major theatrical releases — as well as a handful of notable ones on streaming — for you to look forward to during the months of May through August.
Movie ticket and concession prices are as high as they’ve ever been, and we know it’s important to make strategic decisions about where to spend your money. So check out the full schedule below, and plan accordingly.

Animal Farm (2025)
Loosely adapted from the classic George Orwell novel, Andy Serkis’ first foray into animation follows a group of farm animals, led by a rebellious pig, who band together to take over their farm in order to prevent being slaughtered for food.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026)

Hokum (2026)

RZA's One Spoon of Chocolate (2025)
Wu-Tang Clan guru RZA’s latest film is an action thriller about an ex-con army vet trying to start over in a new town who sets out on a twisted path of revenge when he crosses paths with a local gang he suspects may have had something to do with the disappearance of his cousin.

Couples Weekend (2025)

Remarkably Bright Creatures (2026)
