Young managers are not a flex anymore

A company that only promotes younger employees people to lead, coordinator, and managerial roles is likely a company with a lot of “isms”. Employees are expected to be dumb and desperate. It’s fine if some of your leads are young, but….

If you look around and EVERYONE in the office or establishment who is a lead, a coordinator, or manager is under the age of your executive center being fully formed (27)…

If every person over 35 with a mature frontal lobe is not interested in or not being chosen for promotions…

It’s a red flag. There is something you don’t know.

They did not pick you because you were the smartest and most indespensible. In many cases, they need a useful idiot that doesn’t know their rights, won’t challenge them, won’t ask for a raise higher than their budget, hasn’t learned how to document, keep paper trails, and is scapegoatable. The useful idiot also gets an ego boost from a puny raise and actually starts to believe the corporate cult bs.

When they disparage the people in the role prior to you or leave it negatively ambiguous for you to fill in the blank, just know you are next. Just know people who disparage others ROUTINELY while they are not in the room, do the same to you when you aren’t there. Do not join in. They want people they can have power over while never admitting they ain’t got it like that $$$$. Paying the least with ridiculous pressure while acting all powerful and they can’t even fund the position properly half the time.

If you are a young manager and you think you are better than, know more than, work better than every 40’s plus worker there… you are in for a rude awakening down the line.
