Video games have surpassed movies and TV shows as an entertainment form

It's a lot more fun to be an active participant in your entertainment (video games) than a passive participant (movies/TV shows). With how good graphics are nowadays, video games are basically playable movies any way. There are also a lot of good video games based off movies/TV shows, but it's very rare to see a good movie/TV show based off a video game. Movies and TV shows can't create the level of immersion that video games can.

Movies/TV shows are only better for couples/families, in my opinion. As a solo activity, video games are far superior.
