People born and raised in a specific area with a specific dominant language should not be expected to bend over backwards to accommodate the languages

Title pretty much says it, if you live somewhere that speaks Language A your entire life and then people who speak Language B start showing up, people who speak Language B should have to learn and incorporate into Language A, not the other way around. A little help here and there is fine, alternate language directions for important things like making doctors appointments and such, but I should not be expected to HAVE to communicate with you in your language while you adamantly refuse to attempt to learn mine. Think how ridiculous it would be if out of nowhere, I packed up and moved across the world to China and then expected, if not outright demanded, that people speak English for me, going so far as to demand their fundamental institutions of education, government, and law start using MY language as opposed to me having to accommodate and assimilate to using theirs. It's absurd entitlement and it needs to stop.

Edit to add a thought: To those who would say "Well, the whole world speaks English!!" Yes, and I don't think they should have to. English was forced on the rest of the world, along with other languages like Spanish and French, through brutal colonization and as a result, it lead to the deaths of entire languages and cultures. The fact that I can go most places in the world and encounter people who speak English fluently is part of the problem that I am talking about.
