I might be in the minority of people who think this, but I genuinely think Grave Shift is my favorite shift I’ve ever worked. My whole life I’ve only worked day or swing shifts and always thought people working grave shift were crazy for agreeing to such crazy hours. But then I recently got laid off and needed a job ASAP.. so I finally got desperate and agreed to a grave position for a security dispatching center that starts from 10pm to 6am with a decent salary. And all I’m gonna say is that I cannot believe I’m getting paid this well for such easy work lol.. No traffic both ways. No employees on site. No managers on site. Less office drama. Less workload. Less headaches in general. More time in the morning to get things done.. I won’t lie the main issue for sure is adjusting to a tough sleep schedule, and for my line of work it’s dumb shit like crackheads wandering into our site or guards falling asleep, but that’s a separate conversation lol.. Anyway, once I mentally and physically adjusted to this schedule, I have lately felt like I’ve never been so stress free in my life. It’s not for everyone, but it’s definitely for me 😌
